Imidacloprid technical and formulations are known as one of the insecticides with relatively large export volume every year from China. In Q1 2016, over 13
specifications of imidacloprid formulations were exported, with a total export
volume of 3903.63 tonnes and export value of USD24.38 million. Of these, 200g/L
imidacloprid SL ranked first by both volume and value, 29.48% and 22.76% of the
national total respectively.

Export volume
According to China Customs and analyst CCM, from Jan. to March 2016, China
exported altogether 1,151 tonnes of 200g/L imidacloprid SL, 29.48% of the
national figure of imidacloprid formulations. Besides, 350g/L imidacloprid SC,
25% imidacloprid WP and 10% imidacloprid WP also showed relatively large export
volume, 20.10%, 14.56% and 12.36% of the national total respectively.

Export value
In Q1 2016, the export value of 200g/L imidacloprid SL achieved USD5.55
million, 22.76% of the national figure of imidacloprid formulations. Other
imidacloprid formulations with a proportion to the national total of＞20% included
350g/L imidacloprid SC (22.18%) and 70% imidacloprid WD (21.53%).

Export price
The export price for 200g/L imidacloprid SL averaged USD4.82/kg in Q1 2016, vs.
the average figure of imidacloprid formulations at USD6.25/kg.
Notably, the top three imidacloprid formulations by export price were:
70% Imidacloprid WDG: USD15.79/kg
70% Imidacloprid WS: USD11.87/kg
70% Imidacloprid WP: USD11.71/kg
Yet, neither the combined export volume nor value of the three exceeded that of
200g/L imidacloprid SL.

Export destination
In Q1 2016, the top five export destinations for 200g/L imidacloprid SL by
export volume were namely Cote d'Ivoire, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ghana and Yemen,
58.01% of the national export volume of this formulation. Additionally, the top
five by export value were Yemen, Ghana, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Cote d'Ivoire.
